We have some super events lined up for this year’s Bushey Festival, here are but a few, but details of every event can be found on the What’s On page of the website.

There are many things going on over the first weekend, from an Art Exhibition by local A level students, to an Open Garden and Studio. You can try Badminton, enter the Great Bushey Bake Off or take your dancing shoes to our flamenco and salsa evening with the Bandorians con Danzarie and Richard Potku.

Reveley Lodge are holding an Art and Craft Fair, and or join the pupils of the Purcell School for their Lunchtime Concert at St James’s Church or a performance inspired by Cortazar’s ‘Rayuela.

Bushey Rangers are running a Six a Side Tournament for teams from under 8 to under 16. The King Stag are again offering a free drink to anyone who takes their medal from the Spire 10k in with them, as well as hosting their Independence Day Beer Festival weekend, if you’re not going to that at the same time we have this year’s Dog Show in King Georges Recreation Ground.

We have the return of the wonderful Disney Princesses for an extravaganza and Hugh Pym from the BBC leads a discussion on Faith under Fire’.

You can try your hand at entering a team in the Bushey Festival Quiz or enter a team in one of the regular Tuesday night charity quizzes held at The Three Crowns who are also hosting a Beer Festival for the Bushey and Oxhey Round Table.

Harrow Apollo Male Voice choir are joining forces with Choirs R Us for a Two Choir Evening and we welcome back the Northwood Volunteer HQ Band for a fun filled night at a new venue for us The Bushey Sports Club (formally the Met Police club) in Aldenham Road.  The club has a great restaurant which will be open to our patron before the concert. Remember to book to avoid disappointment.

We have some great musical events in the second week too with a song recital entitled  ‘A Token of My Devotion‘ and our musical finale is Igor Stravinsky’s ‘The Soldier’s Tale. The fortnight wraps up with the Big Bushey Bike Ride and the Watford Observer holding their Family Fun Day.
